Obviously have not been blogging enough

Okay so here is a quick recap. I took my two exams for my alternative certification so I can teach, the OGET and the OSAT last week. This week I have been working on the group project so that I have something to turn in for the personal webpage and that should be all finished up for, hopefully, by wednesday or thursday next week. I am thrilled about graduating because it is offically less than a month away which is an incredibly exciting thing. Most of all thought, I'm ready for bed to get a good nights sleep because I have much ahead of me in the few weeks to come, and it all starts with tomorrow.

Team Project

I'm glad it is over with. I actually enjoy the web page project and the team project because it involves creating a webpage and you as the creator get to show your imagination. Although I'm glad its done, strictly because I don't enjoy trying to organize people it was another great learning experience in Dr. Hoch's class. Now that the class is headed toward a halt I have to focus on the final project and Rag and Bone, get those things done!

halfway through the semster

This is a good sign to me. As much as I enjoy Dr. Hoch's classes his American Fiction class since WW2 class is ending and leading me into my Blogging class, which I am looking forward to, it should be interesting. Furthermore, it means that I am almost completely done with college and about to graduate in December with my degree in English. Class was good but I'm ready to move on with the next, its a sign that I'm almost done!

websites

I have really enjoyed making the websites for the American Fiction class. I did mine over Jack Kerouac which although it was not my favorite novel thus far it was still interesting because of the way it really seemed to have embodied the time period. The group webpage is interesting. I volunteered to build the team page so everyone could just build their individual page and I would just create the links to their pages. The only problem I am having is that is already thursday evening and its not close to being finished because I'm still waiting on other group members to give me some of their information. One group member I don't think I have heard from at all... That worries me.

Ralph Ellison's "Invisible Man"

I really enjoyed the book the way everything felt as if it were almost thrown in your face and no bushes were beaten around. What I most enjoyed, although I have already commented on this, is how it seems that the narrator is contradictory even to himself. The way he dubs himself the invisible man even though it seems that he makes quite a significant influence on many people in the book. However him hiding in the sewers in a way seems his character because in the racial war that the novel notes upon the narrator never, in my opinion, fights for what he believes rather he attempts to get what he believes via pacifism and hoping for equality for all. Then again looking at the narrator how reliable is he considering it is written in his point of view. In fact looking back even more his antics could have been a lot less grandeur than what we see considering he is obviously a chicken and would rather than hide than die for what he supposedly believes in. Overall I did enjoy the book. I don't know if I would read it again but I thought at least for a first read it was fairly enjoyable; however, I am looking forward to reading some of the other books to come in the class.

I greatly enjoyed the building of the webpage. At first I was very hesitant because I have never done it before besides in early high school trying to teach us HTML which I know nothing about, but I enjoyed the simple choices in building it. This colorscheme, I want a picture here, and the text to say this and be placed here. In fact I enjoyed it so much I created a second webpage where I placed a previous essay paper on it and linked it to the other page. Thanks, that was a great experience.
I am greatly enjoying this class. I have read many things that I have never read before and I always see that as a great experience. I'm glad that it is a one block class just to go ahead and get it over with since I'm a senior but I wish it could be longer because of the literature involved in the class.
